The final event of the 2025 Tournament year.

I really enjoy Red Mountain.  With the exception of a badly struck 3 wood the first day on the par 5 18th, resulting in a double bogey, I played well.

I shot 74, 68, 70. 212 -4 2nd place.

A sponsor invite place was available for the winner of Red Mountain at the 

Vattanac Legends Championship Cambodia $600,000 purse.

It turned out the winner was unable to go.

I was in the gym Sunday afternoon when I received a call offering me the spot.

I immediately went home to book the 1st available flight to Cambodia on Monday. 

An opportunity of a lifetime to play alongside the

European Legends Tour big boys.

I got one practice round on Tuesday.

At over 6,900 yards the course was set up longer than I'm used to nowadays, we normally play 6,400 - 6,600 yards. 

The greens were fast and very undulating and the wind blew 20mph all week.

Vattanac is a fantastic property, the practice facilities are amazing.

It was surreal seeing the familiar faces of all the journeyman tour pro's I've watched on tv all these years.

The first 2 days I was drawn with Malcolm Mackenzie.

Malcolm has been on tour 40 years since he was 24. 

He and I are both from Sheffield.

We once played together at his home course of Hillsborough Gc back when we were both 12 or 13 yrs old (he doesn't remember).

Malcolm's is still playing well and he's a lovely guy; it was a real pleasure to play with him. 

    

I played some good golf and some poor Golf.

I have to admit I found it tough.

Rounds of 76, 75, 74 got me 64th Place.

I probably broke even financially but the experience was priceless.
